Choc Chip Nana Balls

Banana & choc chip bliss balls - a match made in heaven we just know your little ones are going to love! Energy sustaining and made with whole food pantry ingredients. A simple swap makes them lunchbox friendly too - find the full recipe below.

Ingredients

• 1 & 1/2 cups rolled oats
• 1 cup desiccated coconut
• 1 banana
• 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
• 1 tbsp almond butter
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 40g dark chocolate drops

Method

1. Add the oats and coconut to a food processor or high speed blender and process until they resemble a fine flour.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients, except for the chocolate chips.
3. Blend again until the mixture forms a dough, if the mixture is too sticky, add an additional tbsp of coconut flour, until the desired consistency is achieved. (For a lunchbox friendly option simply swap the almond butter for tahini or a seed butter.)
4. Stir through the chocolate chips.
5. Mould the mixture into small balls and spread out on a lined baking sheet.
6. Place the balls in the fridge or freezer to set for at least 30 minutes.
7. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months. Remove from the freezer and leave to thaw for a few minutes before eating!
